Using Putty

Download putty from here. Be sure and scroll down to the poorly displayed site map and click on Download Putty. Then select the putty.exe file for your most versions of Windows.

Click on putty and go. A window like this shows up:

Note the machine name that needs to be entered "bulba.sdsu.edu". Note it is NOW okay to use the default port "22".

The command from a unix machine is:

% ssh bulba.sdsu.edu
After logging in, please visit one of the other lab machines via another ssh comand, for example:
% ssh morph
A complete list of the machines to ssh to can be seen by executing the command
% cat /etc/hosts
